It conveniently enables DJs - whether beginners or the more experienced - to transform sounds, apply effects and mix music their way. In addition to performing loops, adjusting tone and changing speed, reverb, phaser, flanger, and many more effects can be added to selected tracks.

The virtual DJ software displays two decks, each with loaded file information, timelines and control boards, plus a panel at the center for setting global controls. It also includes a headphones output option. There's a menu bar at the top and a lower horizontal panel with tabs Playlist, Loops, and Samples, Effects and Decks.

• Playlist Tab shows all the files and file details loaded into the application accomplished by using the file menu, hotkeys or drag and drop.
• Loops and Samples Tab displays a bank of prerecorded loops and sample clips for looping and playing by themselves or over selected songs.
• Effects Tab adds and adjusts effects to apply to any deck.
• Decks Tab displays decks C through F which can be accessed by selecting the deck and clicking Decks, then the Undock Decks Window item in the View menu to view it in open another window.
